Chateau 1800, a private estate spanning 57 acres in Rincon, Georgia, has received a nomination for the 2026 Best of Georgia Awards in the Wedding Venues category, with community voting currently open. The nomination places the estate alongside other recognized event properties across Georgia and reflects the continued interest couples throughout the region have shown in its grounds, architecture, and ceremony settings.

A Private Estate Setting Within Reach of Historic Savannah

Situated a short drive from historic Savannah, Chateau 1800 functions as an outdoor wedding venue near Savannah, offering couples exclusive access to a 57-acre private estate in Rincon, GA. The property features European-inspired architectural design, manicured grounds, and a lakeside ceremony setting that provides a natural backdrop without requiring couples to travel far from the city.

The estate's private character distinguishes it from more conventional event spaces. Because the grounds are not shared with the public during events, couples and their guests have full use of the property throughout their celebration. The combination of lake views, open-air ceremony sites, and architectural detail gives the venue a distinct visual identity that appeals to couples seeking an alternative to standard ballroom or hotel settings.

As a wedding venue Savannah GA couples consider for both ceremony and reception, Chateau 1800 accommodates the full scope of a wedding day within a single, cohesive environment. The estate's European-inspired design elements carry throughout the property, creating a consistent aesthetic from the entry gates to the lakeside ceremony lawns.

Nomination Reflects Community Recognition

The 2026 Best of Georgia Awards nomination in the Wedding Venues category comes as the estate continues to serve couples seeking a setting that combines natural scenery with architectural character. The awards program recognizes businesses and venues across Georgia based on community input, making the nomination a direct reflection of the couples, families, and guests who have experienced the property firsthand.

"Being nominated for the 2026 Best of Georgia Awards is something we are genuinely proud of," said Amanda Rupelt, representative of Chateau 1800. "This estate was built with the details of a meaningful celebration in mind - from the lakeside ceremony views to the architecture throughout the grounds - and this nomination is a reflection of every couple and family who has trusted us to be part of their day."

The nomination also draws attention to growing interest in outdoor and estate-style venues among couples planning weddings in the greater Savannah area. Rincon's proximity to Savannah makes Chateau 1800 accessible to couples based in the city while offering the seclusion and acreage that urban venues typically cannot provide.

Voting Is Now Open for the 2026 Best of Georgia Awards

Community members, past guests, and couples who have visited or celebrated at Chateau 1800 are encouraged to participate in the current voting period for the 2026 Best of Georgia Awards. The Wedding Venues category includes properties from across the state, and votes submitted by the public will factor into the final outcome.
